They’re coming over and they mean business!
Be careful America… There is a New Brit Invasion about to hit your shores!
The next generation of musicians are muscling up to take the U.S by storm …
And they will be challenging home-grown recording artists as well as building on the successes of their illustrious predecessors…
The signs are that this approaching generation of British newcomers will be even more successful than those that have gone before…
So here are the ones to watch…
1: Django Django
The evolving London rock band Django Django whose album ‘Born Under Saturn’ has stunned and amazed connoisseurs around the world, are now about to break into all territories!
RAW RAMP have been tipping this band since 2012, when we described their music as “Very danceable […] with a country twang and an Alka-Seltzer sound that spritzes and sparkles in your eyes.”
Check out ‘First Light’ to see what we mean. This has a rhythm that elbows its way into the room like a stripper with a job to do. And synths that are so sharp and so hot they will burn holes in your clothing.

2: Daughter
Daughter’s song “Youth” has been featured on U.S. television shows like Mistresses and Grey’s Anatomy. And although their EP ‘His Young Heart’ was born back in 2011 — the hauntingly beautiful songs on this short collection are still being eagerly sought by discerning audiences everywhere.
The London indie-folk band, fronted by vocalist/guitarist Elena Tonra have recently been collaborating with those notable Californians ‘Warpaint’ (producing a ‘split’ record between them) and they have also been touring the continent with another ‘invader’ from Britain – Ben Howard.

3: Coasts
Coasts, the English rock band formed in Bristol in 2011, have been storming across the States in 2015.
Their recent ‘Modern Love’ track from the EP of the same name is full of passion. It convincingly highlights an elegant, slick voice that is beseechfully bewitching before becoming rich and authoritative.
This song is built creatively, with great guitars, inventive percussion and clever production. And it contains enough charismatic power to lift a stadium.

4: ChvrchesScottish band Chvrches came fifth in the BBC’s Sound of 2013 and have been nominated several times as a ‘Breakthrough Act.’
Their song “The Mother We Share” was featured in the opening video for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Their synthpop sounds are reminiscent of another ‘invader’— Depeche Mode.
Their recent ‘Get Away’ is stubbly and fuzzy. With lead singer Lauren Mayberry peeping dustily and all bleary-eyed from its nooks and crevices. To eventually perk up and give a lively performance. Gorgeous bass-beats dot the background of this song… As it froths like a fresh cappuccino … Warming and sticky sweet.

5: FKA twigs
Tahliah Debrett Barnett aka FKA twigs, is a British singer, songwriter, producer and dancer.
Her sounds could best be described as experimental R&B.
Her slinky stage presence and stunning looks enhance songs that, even if they come from the world of trip-hop, have all the mystery and evocative moodiness that you might associate with Kate Bush.
Breathy vocals seem to secretly whisper to you, suggesting thoughts directly into your inner ear… While the throbbing textures of the surrounding sounds will excite your heart and make you want to get up and move.

6: Glass Animals
English indie rockers Glass Animals, from the university city of Oxford, started becoming noticed last year when their debut album Zaba was released.
The band will be crashing across the USA and Canada this Spring and Summer… So you won’t be able to avoid them.
Songs like ‘Black Mambo’ have incredibly perfect pin-pricked rhythms.
These songs will ease slowly and sexily into your life.
The gold-butter voice and moonshine harmonies all help to ferment energies gradually.
But be prepared for a long build-up because those eruptive jet-finishes take a while to climax.

7: Until the Ribbon Breaks
Until the Ribbon Breaks, a three-piece from Wales, tend to blend genres together to get some amazing results.
In 2014 the band performed at Electric Forest Festival in Michigan and the trio have been opening for London Grammar during 2015.
It is expected that their 2015 debut album ‘A Lesson Unlearnt’ will propel UTRB into the stratosphere.
Most of the tracks on the album are re-scores — and have already been heard and appreciated by the knowing cognoscente — but their new material is every bit as good.
Songs like ‘A Taste Of Silver’ have inventive rhythms, slinky guitars and soul-filled high-pitching voices together with bass-filled bruise-beats.
And, of course, their songs are as catchy and dangerous as a cross-border blue-meth police-sting operation.
